Eating Less Than Kezais of Bread and Various Foods

Question

I have a sensitivity to gluten and therefore I eat less than a kezais (an olive's bulk) of bread and then I eat other foods such as fruits, vegetables, and legumes. What blessing I should recite after eating this?

Answer

Dear …!
Taking care of your health is an important commandment, and with every meal, you merit to fulfill this precious commandment. Regarding the final blessing, you should only bless on the rest of the foods, meaning “Borei Nefashos Rabos” (“Who creates numerous living things”). If the fruits are from the seven species, you should recite “al ha-peiros” ('on the fruits'), and “Borei Nefashos Rabos” on the rest of the foods that are not of the seven species.
