Neutering a Cat

Question

I received a cat from a veterinarian with the understanding that I would care for it for a year and then return it. Among other things, we agreed on neutering it. I heard that there might be a problem with this. But I can't live with an unneutered cat in the house. He urinates all over the place, behaves violently, and drives me out of my mind.

Answer

You should return it to the veterinarian. There is a Torah prohibition against neutering a living creature.
