Driving Lessons on Friday Afternoon

Question

I want to study driving on Fridays in the afternoon; I have no other time. Shabbat is already prepared much earlier at my home.

Answer

Initially, it is preferable to refrain, especially from learning to drive after the 'Mincha Ketana' (two and a half hours before sunset), but if there is a great need, it can be permitted.

Source

Shulchan Aruch (Orach Chaim, Ch. 251, Paragraph 1). The answer refers only to the learner and not to the teacher, about whom it is stated that at least after the 'Mincha Ketana', he will not see a sign of blessing in the money that he’ll earn at that time.
