The Obligation of Tithing Money When in Debt

Question

My income doesn’t cove my expenses. What should I do with tithing money? Is it necessary to donate it specifically this month, or can I donate it in the following month?

Answer

Greetings!
You should not donate tithes when you’re not covering your expenses. However, you should record the amount as a debt to the tithes and donate it the following month. It is advisable to strive to close all debts to the tithes once a year, and if necessary, reduce expenses. By observing the obligation of tithing money, one will merit wealth and abundant blessings.
