Circumcision Meal and Seven Blessings

Question

I previously asked about a circumcision and Seven Blessings together. Another doubt that arose is whether there is a concern here of combining joyous occasions together or the prohibition of bundling commandments?

Answer

There is no issue of combining joyous occasions. This prohibition is only mentioned in relation to a wedding during a festival. [By the way, a circumcision is not defined as a joyous occasion in this context due to the distress of the infant]. Also, there is no issue of bundling commandments together, as the fact that the groom and the bride participate in the festive meal and that the meal is made more sumptuous for them, is what obligates the recitation of the seven blessings.
