Setting the timer on Shabbat
Question
Why is it permissible to move the hands of the Shabbos timer on Shabbos?
Answer
According to the opinion of our teacher, Rabbi Amram Fried, it is forbidden to move the switches and hands of a timer, even if this only takes effect after some time.
