The Seven Blessings in honor of Granddaughter’s wedding during mourning

Question

Is it permissible to participate in the seven blessings ceremony for my granddaughter during the year of mourning, and is there a difference in who conducts it and where?

Answer

Dear …!
It is not permissible to participate in the seven blessings for a granddaughter during the year of mourning for your parents. However, if you are serving as a host and waiter, it is allowed, and there is no need to serve throughout the entire event. However, if you are conducting the seven blessings ceremony in your own home, it is permissible.
