Reading Haftarah eleven months after father's passing

Question

My father passed away and I wanted to ask if it is only Kaddish that I should say for just eleven months, or does being called up for the Haftarah reading, which I have been buying every week since my father’s passing, follow the same rule? I am supposed to get called for Haftarah in the last month of the year of mourning?

Answer

Dear …!
The author of “Kehilos Yakov” was only called for the Haftarah reading for eleven months, and you should not be more stringent than that in this matter, since because by doing that you might be dishonoring your father, by acting as if he was a sinner.
