Completing a Sephardi minyan

Question

I am Ashkenazi. Sometimes I go to the regular synagogue for the morning prayer, and on the way there is a Sephardic synagogue that has already started praying twenty minutes ago and the congregation is waiting impatiently for someone to come and complete the minyan (quorum). They ask me to complete it by joining them. Do I have to give up my regular minyan and complete their minyan for them?

Answer

Dear …!
Kindness is a Torah commandment, while the texts of prayers and praying in a fixed place are rabbinic laws. Certainly, it is a mitzvah to complete their minyan.

None
