Giving tithes to father-in-law

Question

Is it permissible and is it appropriate to give tithes of money to my father-in-law who is in the process of marrying off a daughter?

Answer

Dear ...!

If your father-in-law is in need of money at the moment and has no source that would satisfy his needs, it is a mitzvah to give him charity money and prioritize him over other needy people.
