Challah dough that was incinerated in an oven

Question

Dear Rabbi, For a while now, I had been burning the dough that I had separated as challah by placing in an oven at a high heat. I saw that the esteemed Rabbi wrote that it is forbidden to do this. What should I do?

Answer

Dear ...!

Indeed, it is forbidden to burn the challah dough in the oven, since this dough is forbidden for consumption, and its taste, which is forbidden, permeates the walls of the oven.

In fact, after you did this, you need to kasher the oven by running it on the highest heat for about 20 minutes [-by this time the oven will certainly reach its maximum heat]. Once you've done this, the oven will become kosher again.
