Plucking leaves from a potted plant

Question

In our home we have a pot with a spearmint plant. The pot has no hole underneath and it stands on a piece of polyfoam. The leaves of the plant are within the bounds of the pot. I understand that something that grows in a pot without a hole is not considereda as growing from the ground. So, is it permissible on pluck a leaf on Shabbat in order to recite the blessing "Who creates fragrant grasses"?

Answer

Dear ...!
It is forbidden to pluck even from a pot that has no hole.
