Breadcrumbs after eating

Question

On Shabbos, we don’t use disposable nylon tablecloth. We use a fabric tablecloth. At the end of each Shabbos meal, there is a whole lot of breadcrumbs left on it. Are we allowed to shake them out in the backyard or to throw them in the garbage?

Answer

Dear …!

Disrespectfully throwing out crumbs of bread can cause poverty. Therefore, you should gather them into a plastic bag and throw them out that way.
