Immersing a jar for repeated use

Question

We bought a jar of coffee, and together with it received an additional bag of coffee as a free gift, intended as a refill. What I wanted to ask is, does this jar have to be immersed (in a ritual bath, a mikveh) for repeated use? And if it does, another question: are we allowed to refill it with coffee just once, with the intention to use is it just this one time, and not to leave it for permanent use?

Answer

Dear …!

It is prohibited to use this jar again, unless you immerse it. And that applies even if you intend to use it again only once, its use is still forbidden without immersion.
