Heard thunder while saying pesukei de-zimrah

Question

If someone heard thunder while saying pesukei de-zimrah (a part of the morning prayer), does one have to interrupt the prayer to say the appropriate blessing? Does it make a difference, whether he was in the middle of a paragraph, or in between paragraphs?  

Answer

If a person heard thunder while saying pesukei de-zimrah, he should interrupt his prayer and make the appropriate blessing, whether he was in the middle of a paragraph when he heard the thunder, or in between paragraphs.
