Cutting baby’s fingernails on Rosh Chodesh

Question

Is one allowed to cut baby’s fingernails on Rosh Chodesh (beginning of a new Hebrew month)?

Answer

Those who abide by Rabbi Yehuda ha-Chasid’s will, and do not cut their fingernails on Rosh Chodesh, should wait with nail cutting, unless the baby is likely to scratch itself.
