Meat on the fast of Gedalya

Question

I’m not fasting today because of an illness. Am I allowed to eat the meat that’s left from Rosh Hashana? Thank you

Answer

Even someone who is not fasting because of an illness and such, is not allowed to indulge oneself in food. Therefore, it’s forbidden to eat meat and to drink wine on this day, unless it’s a medical necessity. After the stars come out, one can eat the regular way.
