Paying rent in Jerusalem

Question

(In the Book of the Tosefta (tractate Negoim, ch. 6, §2) and in the Talmud (tractate Yuma, folio 12) the sages said that the houses in Jerusalem are not to rented out.) If someone rents a house in the Old City of Jerusalem, is he exempt from paying rent because “Jerusalem has not been divided between the tribes”?

Answer

He’s obligated to pay.
