“Orlah” fruit

Question

Someone who is not observant brought me an apple and a pear. He has no idea if there is a heksher (kosher supervision) on these fruits. Am I allowed to eat them?

Answer

There is no problem of orlah, but you have to tithe them (to separate trumah, maaser, etc.).
