Tithing a closed package

Question

Is one allowed to tithe canned foods while their containers are sealed, if these weren’t tithed yet?

Answer

You can only tithe them while they are sealed if there is a doubt if the food has already been tithed, or not. (But if it for sure hasn’t been tithed, the cans have to be opened.)
