Yom Tov: One Day or two Days

Question

Hi Rabbi, I hope you're doing well. Question: Regarding keeping one or two days of sukkes in my particular case. I live the last 4 years in London England, I don't own a property but I rent from a landlord. Today is October, since past July I am residing in Jerusalem Israel. Also past winter, I spent 3 months in Israel. I still pay rent for my flat in London but I also pay rent for my room in a flat sharing in Jerusalem. I aim and want to stay in Israel for at least a few more months, hopefully for even longer, as long as I can. And for that period I sublet my apartment in London. Im looking for a heter to keep only 1 day. What are my options? Thank you and looking forward to your response. Best regards Yacov Ledereich

Answer

Shalom!

Thank you for your question.

Until you have decided to make Eretz Yisrael your permanent home you must continue to observe Yom Tov Sheini.
