Writing on a Computer - Chol HaMoed

Question

Is it permissible to write on a computer during Chol HaMoed? a. Is there any concern about losing something (if I might forget it if I do not write it)? b. If not, is it because it is on a computer, it is not considered writing?

Answer

Shalom and joyous holidays!
Writing on a computer is considered the same as writing by hand.
And in a place where writing is permitted, such as writing new Torah insights, where there is a chance that the idea will be forgotten, or any other matter where there is a concern that if it is not written down, it will be forgotten — it is permitted to write it.
