Being Treated by a Woman - Depression

Question

Peace and blessing to you! I am a 39-year-old unmarried man suffering from depression that has lasted for over a decade, unfortunately. I have consulted various counselors but they have not yet helped me. And my question is: Is it permissible to meet with a married female counselor who is an expert in the field at her home if the door is open or if there is someone else in the house? I must mention that currently, I do not have any access to a male specialist like her and generally a professional that I can rely on.

Answer

Shalom and a happy holiday!
It is permitted for the sake of treatment, but one must be careful to avoid the prohibition of seclusion and other types of closeness.
