Intention in the Recitation of Shema

Question

I am uncertain if my intention to fulfill my obligation in the recitation of Shema was valid, as I thought I would recite it again later and I did not pay enough attention to the details during the actual recitation. In the middle of recitation, I wanted to fulfill my obligation. What is the ruling?

Answer

Shalom!
If you recited it, it seems that you did intend to fulfill your obligation.
Even if you thought in the middle of the recitation that you would read it again, this does not nullify the intention to fulfill your obligation in the recitation.
