Dressing for a Circumcision on Rosh Hashanah

Question

I have to circumcise my son on Rosh Hashanah; should I wear a frock coat or a kittel?

Answer

Dear …!
You may do as you wish.
On one hand, the kittel is customarily worn during prayers, and not at other times.
On the other hand, it is obligatory to wear Sabbath clothes on Rosh Hashanah, but not clothes that are splendorous or embroidered.
