Assisting a Boy or Interruption in Hearing the Shophar

Question

I was asked to assist a boy who is “Chozer BeTshuvah” (a repentant who is unfamiliar with prayers) on Rosh Hashanah. I am afraid that I will have to speak between the blowings of the shophar because of this. Is it permitted?

Answer

Dear …!
Speaking about the prayer and the blowings is not considered an interruption.
Blessed are you for having the opportunity to fulfill the commandment of teaching a boy who does not know.
