The conclusion of Shabbat according to Rabbeinu Tam's opinion

Question

For about 5 years, I have been ending Shabbat according to Rabbeinu Tam's opinion (much later than other opinions). In the beginning, I thought I’d be doing so without taking a vow. This week, I need to immerse in a mikveh on Saturday night. Can I start preparations before Rabbeinu Tam's time?

Answer

Shalom!
Since your initial intention was to do this without a vow, it is permitted.
