Shabbos Mode for a Refrigerator in a Rented Apartment

Question

I rented a furnished apartment and the refrigerator does not have a Shabbat mode. I want the landlord to provide this mode, but he says I can use a Shabbat timer. However, I argue that with a Shabbat timer, it is not possible to open the refrigerator at all times. Who is right?

Answer

Greetings,
If you did not explicitly discuss that he has to provide the Shabbos mode device, it is not possible to obligate the landlord to provide it.
