Mourner's Visit to the Dentist

Question

Is it permissible for a mourner to go to the dentist?

Answer

Shalom!
A mourner is forbidden to go out without necessity. Therefore, if it is possible to postpone the visit until after the seven days of mourning without incurring a loss, it should be postponed. However, if there will be damage due to the delay, or if the mourner will not be given another appointment and so on, he may go out. He should try to do so discreetly.
