Listening to Music While One's Father is Sitting Shiva

Question

My father is sitting shiva for the passing of his brother, and it has already been three days since the beginning of the shiva. Do I have a problem participating in a kumsitz with music?

Answer

Shalom!
It does not depend on the three days, but rather if a Sabbath has passed.
[The prohibition is only according to Ashkenazi custom. The Sephardim did not practice this. And even according to Ashkenazi custom, this is only in the city where the father is sitting shiva].
