Use of Coals on which Prohibited Foods were Roasted

Question

Is it permissible to use coals that Arabs used for their barbecue? Can I place them in my grill and roast meat over them?

Answer

Shalom!
It is permitted to roast over coals on which prohibited meat had been roasted. This is because the prohibited substance burned up, and also, coals don’t touch the food.
