Returning an Anonymous Rav-Kav

Question

We found an anonymous Rav-Kav card, charged with 350 Shekels. Is it permitted to use it?

Answer

Shalom!
The amount that is kept on the card is considered a distinguishing mark. It should be announced and the distinguishing mark (that someone who claims its ownership would have to supply) is the place it was found and the amount.
If there is no claim a week after the announcement, it is permissible to use it, but you have to record the amount to be returned when the prophet Elijah comes.
