The Method of Affixing the Mezuzah

How slanted should the mezuzah be affixed?

According to the Sephardic custom, it should be affixed vertically.
The Ashkenazim take into account the opinion that it should be affixed horizontally, and therefore tilt it diagonally, in order to fulfill their obligation according to all opinions.
There is no specific value for the angle at which it has to be slanted. But when tilting it, one has to make sure, that it not protrude outside the width of the doorpost.
