Onion Fried in a Meat Pot

Question

If an onion was fried in a meat pot, and then transferred for further frying to a neutral (parve) pot, what is the status of the neutral pot? Can one prepare neutral food in it and consume it with dairy?

Answer

Shalom!
An onion that was fried in a meat pot becomes meaty, and then when it is fried in a neutral pot, it makes the second pot meaty too. Therefore, as with any meat pot, one should not initially cook food in it with the intention of eating it with dairy.
