Naming a Book

Question

Is there a problem with naming a book that I want to publish with the same name as book that already exists?

Answer

Shalom!
Upon a cursory examination of the Jewish bookshelf, you will find that almost every book has ’duplicates’ with the same name, so it seems that there is no problem with this. However, if there is a book that is well-known and widely sold in our time, it is not appropriate to name your book with the same title, since it will create a confusion for the buyers, and may cause financial losses to the sellers.
