Fasting on Tisha B'Av at the End of Pregnancy

Question

Greetings and blessings! Is a woman in her eighth month of pregnancy, just before the ninth, who on the day before the fast has a glucose tolerance test that requires her to fast for a night plus about 4 hours during the day, required to fast on Tisha B'Av? Thank you very much.

Answer

Shalom!
There is no fundamental reason not to fast in such a situation. If contractions begin, or she feels very dizzy or dehydrated, she should drink immediately.
