Leaving uncooked vegetables on a hotplate

Question

I accidentally left raw potatoes on the hotplate on Friday. Am I allowed to eat them on Friday night (on Shabbos)?

Answer

Shalom!
The potatoes are permitted, as a hotplate is considered 'swept and covered with ashes' fire on which it is permissible to leave uncooked food.
[However, ideally, everything should be cooked and heated before Sabbos].
