Immersion the night after Tisha B'Av

Question

Greetings and blessings. My wife needs to immerse the night after Tisha B'Av. I wanted to ask how she should conduct herself in terms of preparations for the immersion? And are there any other things we need to know? Thank you very much.

Answer

Shalom!
All the preparations for immersion, including bathing in warm water with soap, and sitting in the bathtub as usual, should be done on the eve of Tisha B'Av. At the end of the fast, only a short shower and cleaning of what has become dirty after she bathed, such as the teeth and palms of her hands should be done. She should wash her hair in warm water and comb it. Also, the entire body should be examined.
