'Siliplus' on a non-kosher stove

Question

Greetings and blessings! There is a product called 'Siliplus' which is a pad that is placed on induction stoves to make them usable for Passover. And the Rabbi has given his approval for this. I wanted to ask if this approval is also valid for using induction stoves that are not kosher, for example in a non-Jewish guesthouse and the like. Thank you very much!

Answer

Shalom!
This product is also effective for use on surfaces that absorbed non-kosher foods, provided that the pad and the pot are dry and clean.
In fact, it is permitted to use induction stoves that have absorbed prohibited foods even without the surface pad — if care is taken that the cooking surface and the bottom of the pot are clean and dry.
The aforementioned product is beneficial in that even if the pot boils over, there will not be wet contact between them [between the pot and the cooking surface], which contact could cause the pot to absorb prohibited substances.
