Moving an Object to Prevent Damage

Question

In a room, there is an expensive electrical device. If people play or eat there, there is a significant risk that the device will be damaged. Therefore, in the current situation, the room is not used for play. Now, there is a need for the space of the room, but in order to use the room, I want to first move the object. The reason for moving the object is to prevent it from being damaged (“from heat to shade”). How should this movement be judged, as moving “from heat to shade” or as “moving for its place”?

Answer

Shalom!
Logically, moving this object is for the purpose of protecting it, and this is forbidden. This is because you do not need the place of the object. Rather, your desire is to protect it from damage.
