Frying in Meat Oil During the Nine Days

Question

Is it permitted to eat a neutral (not meat and not dairy) food that was deep-fried in oil, in which meat was previously fried, during the Nine Days?

Answer

Shalom!
The oil in which meat was fried is considered like a meat dish, and it is customary not to eat such dishes during the Nine Days.
[This is not considered 'absorption' but rather a mixture].
