Should I consult Artificial Intelligence with my religious questions?

Question

Lately I have been using an Artificial Intelligence application (ChatGPT) to assist me with my education. I have found that it does a very good job at focusing on my questions and providing clear and insightful answers. My questions to ChatGPT about Judaism and Jewish thought are no exception. I always seem to be provided with a thoughtful and honest response. My question to you is whether or not the mainstream Jewish religious community has an opinion on whether or not Artificial Intelligence is a benefit or a detriment to understanding Torah. dean_hoard57@yahoo.com

Answer

Shalom!

Thank you for your question.

Although AI is a great resource for almost everything, including Judaism, one should not rely on it for practical purposes without first confirmation from a rabbi that it is accurate.
