Laws of the "City of Refuge" (Ir Miklat) and the Accidental Murderer

When the Kohen gadol dies, must the accidental manslayer leave the Ir miklat? He may have married and established himself there.

Once the Kohen Gadol dies, the accidental murderer is permitted to leave the City of Refuge but he is not required to leave the City of Refuge.
He may continue living there if he so desires.
