Settling in the Land of Israel with Air Conditioning

Is there a consideration to have the intention of fulfilling the commandment of settling in the Land of Israel when turning on the air conditioner, as Rabbi Ami and Rabbi Asi did (Ketubot 112)?

Rabbi Ami and Rabbi Asi did not fulfill the commandment of settling in the Land of Israel in this way. Rather they wanted to ensure that they would not suffer while dwelling in it, and thus come to resent the Land of Israel.
