Unclean - sin or not?

Question

I cannot read Hebrew. My knowledge is mainly from English translations of the Torah. I seek understanding why there is no sin offering mentioned (or needed?) when violating the laws on unclean animals. Yet, soon after sunset one is clean again. Your answer is much appreciated.

Answer

Shalom!

Thank you for your question.

It appears you are mistaken.

The sin offering was brought upon accidental transgression of a mitzva of the Torah including the consumption of unclean/non-kosher animals.
