Spelling Question
Question
Hello, I’m working on a project on Edith, lots wife, and wanted to ask a question about in regards to translation. I understand that in the torah, genesis 19:26 says וַתַּבֵּ֥ט אִשְׁתּ֖וֹ מֵאַחֲרָ֑יו as in “lots wife looked back…” and that in the midrash tanchuma buber vayera 8:2 she is named but still referenced in: שנאמר ותבט אשתו מאחריו ותהי נציב מלח how would i write, in biblical hebrew “she looked back” with the same verb look as tāḇeṭ וַתַּבֵּ֥ט and also how to write the same but with her midrashic hebrew name“Edith looked back” all in biblical hebrew thank you very much!
Answer
Shalom!
I believe you are looking for:
ַתַּבֵּ֥ט עידית מֵאַחֲרָ֑יו
