Inspiring people and having personal conversations in the Beit Midrash.

Question

I do outreach work among the French-speaking community. Very often, young people want to meet with me to discuss Torah matters and also to seek advice on business or life issues.I study all day at the Gertler Kollel (both the morning and afternoon sessions). Can I schedule meetings with them at 7:00 PM in the Beit Midrash there, even if I know they may also want to talk about secular matters?I see several advantages in doing so:They see the hundreds of avreichim who are learning. I can even ask them to come a few minutes earlier. They see a beautiful and dignified place. They see that I spend my whole day learning in such a place. It can really inspire and strengthen them. And practically, this is the most convenient option for me.Is this permitted? And is it advisable for me to do this? Please, I would like a response directly from HaRav Amram Fried himself.

Answer
