How to speak to someone who has pride
Question
how does torah say to speak to someone full of pride in response
I know there's something like cut someone down because they are full of idolatry
but there's also ahavas Yisrael and Kiruv in general
how do we deal with people who are full of pride or also perhaps heretics when possibly everyone these days are really heavily swayed by the yetzer hora
I don't know what the fine line is between determining anyone has a apikorus who I should try to bring close and help and an apikorus that I should push away, things like this... thank you

Answer
Shalom!
Thank you for your question.
The rule is that if you see that you are having a positive influence on the person and he does not negatively influence you, then you should try to be mekarev him. However, if he has a negative influence on you, then you should distance yourself from him.
Wishing you well.
