Am I Jewish?

Sir, I decent from Israel. My ancestors migrated to Mexico. generations ago.We were not permitted to practice our religion. Under halakha law am I still consider Jewish? My ancestors were victims of "ańus" ... We were force to convert to Catholicism. I'm very proud of my ancestry.

Harav Fried Shelita says that you would have to go through conversion Lechumrah, meaning - as a stringency, to avoid doubt.
