How were the priests able to facilitate thousands of sacrifices twice a day everyday with one altar?

Indeed, there were hundreds, if not thousands, of offerings brought daily in the Holy Temple.
As such, there were a team of Kohanim, priests, who would tend to the service.
So with a large staff, working quickly, the job was able to get done.
